Short Bio | Dr Charlotte Senftleben-König

Dr Charlotte Senftleben-König was appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board of SEFE in March 2023.

She heads the Gas and Hydrogen infrastructure unit in the Department for Economic Stabilisation and Energy Security in the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. She is responsible for setting up the LNG import infrastructure in Germany and developing a sustainable hydrogen network.

In 2015, Charlotte joined the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action. There she held positions in the Energy Department, the Economic Policy Department as well as the management of the Ministry.

Prior to this, she worked at the Chair for Applied Microeconomics at Humboldt University Berlin.

She holds a diploma in International Economics from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen- Nuremberg and a doctorate from Humboldt-Universität in Berlin. In her dissertation, she dealt with the impact of technological change and product market deregulation on employment and wage structures.
